Five NKU players finished in double figures as the Norse captured the Horizon League Championship and an NCAA Tournament bid with a 77-66 win over Wright St. Tuesday night at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Jalen Tate led Northern Kentucky (26-8) with 17 points. Dantez Walton carded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Zaynah Robinson added 15 points, Drew McDonald 13 and Tyler Sharpe 11. The Norse shot a blistering 57.1% (12-21) from three. Billy Wampler had 16 points to lead the Raiders (21-13).
