NKU releases 2017-18 basketball schedule

Northern Kentucky has released its 2017-18 men’s basketball schedule. The non-conference portion of the schedule is highlighted by trips to Memphis (Nov. 25) and Texas A&M (Dec. 19). The Norse will participate in the Island of the Bahamas Showcase in Nassau, set for Nov. 17-19. Bradley, Coastal Carolina, Iona, James Madison, UT-San Antonio, Vermont and Weber State round out the field. NKU has a rare non-conference home-and-home with East Tennessee State. ETSU went 27-8 a season ago and won the both the Southern Conference regular-season and tournament titles.

The non-conference schedule also features visits from in-state rivals Morehead St. (Dec. 2) and Eastern Kentucky (Dec. 10). The 18-game Horizon League schedule begins December 28th with a home contest against new conference member IUPUI. A November 4th exhibition game against Urbana will get the Norse’s 2017-18 campaign started.
