East Tennessee St. bolted out to a 46-28 halftime lead and Northern Kentucky could not recover in an 84-71 loss Wednesday night. With Drew McDonald seeing only one minute of action in the first half due to foul trouble, the Norse (6-3) managed just 43.5% (10-for-23) shooting. Meanwhile, the Bucs (5-3) shot 59.3% (16-for-27) for the half and turned 11 NKU turnovers into 18 points. Carson Williams led all scorers with 22 points. Devontavius Payne led four ETSU players in double figures with 16 points.
