Game 8 Recap: Northern Kentucky 86, Morehead St. 49
Drew McDonald’s 22 points, including his 1,000th career point, led Northern Kentucky to an 86-49 win over Morehead St. at BB&T Arena Saturday night. The Norse (6-2) led 38-28 half when McDonald went on a personal 11-0 run right after half. It was part of a sizzling second half offensive effort by NKU 72% (18-for-25) from the floor and 73% (8-for-11) on 3-pointers. Joining McDonald in double figures were Lavone Holland II (17), Carson Williams (13), Jalen Tate (10) and Jeff Garrett (10). The Eagles (2-6) were led by Djimon Henson’s 15 points.
