Game 29 Recap: Northern Kentucky 83, Wright St. 76

Northern Kentucky completed a season sweep of Wright St. with an 83-76 win over the Raiders Tuesday night at BB&T Arena. Drew McDonald sparked a couple of Norse rallies. His two free throws with 6:05 left in the game started a 9-0 run that gave NKU a 72-67 lead with just under four minutes to play. With the game tied at 76 and 40 seconds left, McDonald converted a three-point play. The started a game-ending 7-0 run included five-straight points from McDonald as the Norse defense held Wright State to one field goal across the final three minutes.

The Norse (19-10, 10-6 Horizon) had three players in double figures led by Cole Murray’s 23 points. Lavone Holland II finished with 19 points and Drew McDonald added 18. Mark Alstork paced Wright St. (19-10, 10-6) with 23 points and Grant Benzinger chipped in with 20.
