Jeremiah Bell’s potential game-winning three fell off the front of the rim as Northern Kentucky came away with a 54-52 win over Milwaukee at BB&T Arena Thursday night. The Norse held a 27-24 halftime lead and pushed the lead to 48-41 lead with 6:23 to play. The Panthers would cut the lead to 54-52 with 1:02 left but neither team would score the rest of the way. Drew McDonald’s double-double, his 12th of the season, of 16 points and 10 rebounds led NKU (18-7, 11-2 Horizon). Bryce Barnes had 13 points and Jeremiah Bell 12 for the Panthers (13-14, 6-8).
