Game 13 Recap: West Virginia 92, Northern Kentucky 61

Northern Kentucky put up a game effort in the first half before eventually being routed by #11 West Virginia Friday afternoon at the WVU Coliseum. The game was tied at 24 before WVU went on a late first-half run to take a 36-29 halftime lead. The Mountaineers turned up the pressure on the Norse in the second-half scoring 20 points off 13 NKU turnovers. Carson Williams led the Norse in scoring with 12 points. Tarik Phillip had a game-high 16 points for WVU (11-1). At 9-4, Northern Kentucky posted its best non-conference mark since joining Division 1. Horizon League action kicks off for NKU December 29th when the Norse travel to Detroit Mercy.
