Game 9 Recap: Northern Kentucky 80, Eastern Illinois 70

Northern Kentucky pushed its win streak to three with an 80-70 win over Eastern Illinois Wednesday night at BB&T Arena. With six minutes left and EIU leading 63-62, Carson Williams went coast-to-coast for a layup that started a 13-2 Norse run. Lavone Holland II poured in a career-high 28 points with the help of six three-pointers. Drew McDonald added 17 for NKU (6-3) while Carson Williams came up just short of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Cornell Johnston had 17 points to lead the Panthers (5-4).
