North Carolina Central closed the first-half on a 17-0 run on the way to an 82-74 win over Northern Kentucky at BB&T Arena Saturday night. That run gave the Eagles a 42-29 halftime edge that they wouldn’t relinquish. Patrick Cole had a 32-point, 10-rebound, 8-assist effort for North Carolina Central (3-2). Lavone Holland and Drew McDonald led NKU (3-3) with 20 points each. For McDonald, it was his fourth straight 20-point game.
