Game 17 Recap: Northern Kentucky 83, Cleveland St. 75

Drew McDonald exploded for a career-high 37 points to lead Northern Kentucky to an 83-75 win over Cleveland St. Saturday afternoon at BB&T Arena. McDonald’s 37 points are the most by an NKU player in its Division 1 era. McDonald netted 30 first-half points as the Norse led 44-33 at halftime. The Vikings close to within five at 51-46 but NKU (12-5, 3-1 Horizon) would go on a 10-2 run and cruise to victory. Cleveland St. (5-11, 1-3) was led by Rob Edwards’ 19 points.
