Game 14 Recap: Northern Kentucky 81, Detroit Mercy 70

Cole Murray caught fire in the second half to lead Northern Kentucky to an 81-70 win at Detroit Mercy Thursday night. Murray hit the first of his six second-half threes at the 14:24 mark to give NKU a 46-45 lead. He hit his sixth three almost six minutes later and the Norse were up 68-54. Murray finished with 21 points and Lavone Holland II had 21 as well. The Titans (2-11, 0-1 Horizon) got a game-high 22 points from Jaleel Hogan. The win starts NKU (10-4, 1-0 Horizon) with a 1-0 mark in league play and its 10 wins surpasses last season’s total of 9.
