With Holland graduating, Faulkner would have been in line to be starting PG yes? What am I missing?

Source? This would be a HUGE blow, with no clear PG otherwise.

Faulkner released from NKU men’s basketballHIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Sophomore guard Mason Faulkner (Glasgow, Ky./Caverna HS) has been released from the Northern Kentucky University men's basketball program head coach John Brannen announced Wednesday afternoon.
Faulkner averaged 6.5 points and 2.2 assists in 65 games played as a Norse.
